Day 4—4:30am Posting On Why No Blog Postings ‘til Now It’s 4:30am, my strategy is to get on the wifi while Cuba sleeps, as getting on it while anyone’s awake will never allow me to get these postings up. Keeping my fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that this works…with love from Havana.

To use the wifi here, you buy a wifi one hour card; either by standing on a long queue, or buying it from the many hawkers trying to treble the price for tourists desperate to have a card.

You then go to a "wifi park" or a hotel that is known to have a hotspot, and login using this long code you scratched off on your card. Problem is, there could be 100 people trying to do the same thing at the same time. This process can take up to 40 minutes just to logon. Once on, it can be slow a spotty (think telephone internet speeds of the late 90's).

Good news is the wifi works, and I'm officially logged in with 42 minutes to go
