Because this is a true residency for experienced artists, we know that your creative preferences are as unique as your portfolio. Every artist has their own signature style—whether that means a specific palette of colored pigment sticks, a niche wax blend, or highly particular substrate sizes. Because everyone’s toolkit looks wildly different, it would be impossible for us to provide a one-size-fits-all supply of paints and boards.We provide the heavy equipment, the workspace, and a solid foundation (like your hotplate, torch, starter paper, and initial pound of medium) so you can travel lighter. We then invite you to bring your own curated stash of favorite colors and specialized tools to ensure your pieces turn out exactly as you envision them.

Pre-Sourced Substrates (Optional): Avoid the hassle and weight of flying with heavy wooden panels or cradled boards. If you wish, I can source your substrates ahead of time at your expense so they are waiting at your studio station when you arrive. We can coordinate your exact size and surface preferences during our planning phase.

A Mini On-Site Material Shop: Running low or want to try something new? You will have some options to purchase additional professional-grade materials directly at the studio, however, there is no easy option other than this for getting encaustic supplies in the Haute Savoie.
